Mahalo to all who made our Kaua`i event successful. If you haven’t seen the new YWCA Kaua`i Women’s Center, stop by soon for a tour. This building allows us to provide improved counseling services to women, children and families.
Our new Women’s Center has been a joint effort of the community, staff, and volunteers who have put endless hours of work into making this dream a reality. You can still donate and transform lives by making a gift to the YWCA Kaua`i campaign.
We celebrated with a beautiful blessing of the building, food, live music, and tours of the new facility.
U.S. Representative Tusli Gabbard gave the YWCA of Kaua`i some great words of encouragement and congratulations:
“…Never discriminating by age, race, situation or occupation, the YWCA’s programs deliver information, resources and opportunity to women and families in need. The YWCA’s advocacy for civil rights provides and avenue for women to strengthen their voice, in many cases paving the way to the restoration of their freedom and their dignity…”
